Mario Iovieno was born in Sorrento (SA) on the 13th of September 1979. He is currently a resident of Positano, located on the Amalfi Coast. His passion for music began as a child, when at the age of 14 he would make special mixes for private parties. Soon thereafter, his hobby became a profession and in 1995 he began performing at local clubs on the Amalfi Coast and Sorrentine Peninsula. In the summer of 1998, Mario began his first assignment as resident DJ of Easy Pub – Buca di Bacco, located in Positano. In the winter of 2000, in a joint effort with, he began performing with other National and International DJs and VIPs at select nightclubs in Sorrento and surrounding provinces. In the summer of 2000, he became resident DJ of Africana, a night club owned by Luca Milano in Praiano, also located on the Amalfi Coast (SA). In the summer of 2001, he began working with Peppe Black and Music on the Rocks (www.musicontherocks.com), where he is currently resident DJ. In the winter of 2003, accompanied by vocalist Rosario Sepe, he became the official DJ of the Tour Primo Emporio, a tour which performed at various discos throughout Italy. In 2005, he created an hour long radio program called “La Maison de la Musique” (www.myspace.com/lamaisondelamusique), which is broadcast to radio stations within Italy and beyond. During this 60-minute set, he features not only a compilation of special House remixes, but also a unique blend of musical collaborations with DJ/producers of which he also shares recording projects. By winter 2006, alongside vocalist Valentino, he was one of the few DJs of Southern Italy requested to play in various European capitals, specifically London, Prague, Budapest, Bratislava and Kosice. In late 2007, he collaborated with DJs Salvatore Lucibello and Vito Amendola and together they created their first signed recording project, “MVS” (www.myspace.con/mvsemmevesse) and “The Wave Hunters” (www.myspace.com/the wavehunters). By winter 2008, their new musical venture included the addition of musician Giorgio De Lucia, and the birth of “4 Nasty Boys”. Constantly aware of new musical trends, Mario’s preference is House music accompanied by electronic sounds. However, his passion for musical instruments (specifically bass and percussion) allows him the creativity to showcase original and unreleased live mixes with a unique blend.
